Easternwell is a finalist in national safety awards

Easternwell has been selected as a finalist in the 2018 National Safety Awards of Excellence for their commitment to employee health and wellbeing.

The National Safety Awards of Excellence are Australia’s premier safety awards and celebrates organisations who contribute to the health, safety and well-being of their employees and show continuous improvement in their business performance.

As a finalist in the category of Best Health and Wellbeing program, Easternwell is recognised for its ‘Live Well’ program which provides educational resources, access to support services, face-to-face consultations and a variety of other initiatives aimed at improving employees’ physical activity, nutrition, financial support and mental health.

Easternwell’s Wellbeing Coordinator and Accredited Practicing Dietician, Liam Brennan said: “The benefits of a workplace health and wellbeing program extend past conventional health and safety practices.”

“A program such as Live Well addresses the components of a healthy lifestyle that impact physical health, emotional health as well as workplace productivity and employee retention. A good program will create a culture centred around both health and enjoyment while at work.”

Finalists will be formally recognised, and winners announced at a luncheon in Sydney on 11 October 2018.

Easternwell is a subsidiary of Broadspectrum, providing innovative solutions across the social, defence, property, infrastructure, resources and industrial sectors.
