Easternwell supports women returning to work

Easternwell has established a parent’s room in their Toowoomba office to support women who have young children return to work.

The room provides a comfortable place for mothers who have returned to work to continue to breastfeed, express milk or spend time with their baby as they transition back to work.

Through the company’s Flexibility Policy, Easternwell is committed to creating a flexible working environment that enables the business to succeed and grow while recognising that employees have unique skills, contributions and commitments to make both inside and outside of the organisation.

Easternwell General Manager Kyle Koziol said: “Establishing a parent’s room is one of the ways we’re promoting a positive culture that supports a flexible and inclusive work environment.”

“By embracing flexible working arrangements we improve employee retention and productivity while increasing the commitment and engagement of our people.”

Easternwell is committed to continuing to increase its female diversity in the business, with females representing 50 per cent of office-based roles, supported by a number of policies that support flexible working arrangements including parental leave, working from home and annual leave salary sacrifice options.

Easternwell is a subsidiary of Broadspectrum, providing innovative solutions across the social, defence, property, infrastructure, resources and industrial sectors.
