Easternwell participates in industry safety forum

Easternwell participated in an Industry Safety Forum in Toowoomba hosted by the Queensland Natural Gas Exploration and Production Industry Safety Forum, known as Safer Together.

Safer Together is a not-for-profit, member-led organisation of operating companies and contract partner companies committed to creating the leadership and collaboration needed to build a strong and consistent safety culture in the natural gas exploration and production industry.

Senior leaders from more than 100 member companies convened in Toowoomba and also spent time at sites of locally-based member companies including Easternwell, FKG Group, Neil Mansell Transport, ProTest and Qteq. This provided the opportunity to meet the operational leaders that work in these companies and have conversations about the safety issues that matter to them.

Easternwell Executive General Manager Tim Phelan said: “As a member of Safer Together we have the opportunity to work with our clients and our peers to make our industry safer and sustainable.”

“To be able to share some of our safety issues with the broader Safer Together group helps to build the understanding and collaboration needed to make improvements to our industry.”

The focus of Safer Together is to improve the industry’s safety outcomes and also deliver benefits for the industry through simplification, standardisation and improved efficiency. Safer Together does this by sharing best practice, developing and implementing industry standards and establishing practical programs designed to address current and anticipated risks.
