Easternwell's camp management business secures $39 million of new contracts

Transfield Services subsidiary Easternwell has secured five new contracts and contract extensions for its camp management services worth $39 million throughout the Surat and Cooper Basins with some of Australia’s leading organisations.

These include a $15 million contract with Santos that will create 40 new jobs to help supply, manage and operate its 200 person Moomba overflow camp.
The awards further bolster Easternwell’s camp management business which in the last six years has grown from 15 camps to more than 60 across Queensland and South Australia.

Specialising in remote camp services and full turn-key mobile and fixed camp management solutions, Easternwell’s camp management business provides accommodation to more than 3,500 occupants who consume over three million meals per year.

“Camp management is a growing industry and Easternwell is at the forefront,” said Joe Sofra, Transfield Services' Chief Executive Resources and Energy. “The business has demonstrated consistent growth and has further opportunities to expand in both the mobile and fixed camp markets.”

In the coming months Easternwell will be looking to recruit over 75 staff in various roles including camp managers, chefs, housekeepers, kitchen hands, gardeners, administrators and security.
