Easternwell supports Women's Health Week

Easternwell helped to shine a light on women’s health issues and raise awareness on topics that are prevalent amongst Australian women by supporting Women’s Health Week in September.

During the week information was distributed about important health topics and the company organised guest speakers from Endometriosis Queensland and World Gym to discuss the effects of chronic illness and the importance of maintaining physical and mental health.

Easternwell’s Wellness Coordinator and Accredited Practising Dietitian, Liam Brennan, said: “The two biggest barriers for women not maintaining a healthy lifestyle are lack of time and health not being a priority.”

“By participating in Women’s Health Week, we are encouraging our female workforce to talk about their health and access resources to help support their health goals.”

Women’s Health Week is facilitated by the Jean Hailes Foundation providing online resources for information on women’s health. Now in its seventh year, Women’s Health Week encourages all women across Australia to make good health a priority.

Easternwell is a subsidiary of Broadspectrum, providing innovative solutions across the social, defence, property, infrastructure, resources and industrial sectors.
