Easternwell employees participate in inaugural Safe for Life Day

Easternwell employees participated in the company’s inaugural Safe for Life Day by reflecting on their reasons for staying safe at work.

Safe for Life is about empowering employees to make safe choices with this year’s theme ‘Choices - keeping myself and others Safe for Life’ focused on employees taking personal responsibility for their safety and the safety of those around them.

Employees from across the business shared their reasons for staying safe at work and discussed why choices and demonstrating caring behaviours are key to keeping each other safe.

Broadspectrum’s Chief Executive Resources, Tim Phelan said: “Safe for Life is about protecting our people from harm and keeping everyone that we work with safe as we deliver essential services in our communities.”

“Safe for Life is not just about protecting us FROM something - it is about protecting us and others FOR something. We all have a life outside of work, with people we care about and people who care about us.”

“By generating a focused Safe for Life discussion, we aim to inspire positive long-term behaviours with regards to safe choices and our caring culture.”

Easternwell is a subsidiary of Broadspectrum, providing innovation solutions across the social, defence, property, infrastructure, resources and industrial sectors. Safe for Life is Broadspectrum’s Health and Safety program.
