Easternwell supports mental health event

Together with Sunrise Way, Easternwell hosted an event to raise employees’ awareness of the mental health support available both within the company and the community.

Sunrise Way is a community based, not for profit drug and alcohol rehabilitation service focused on supporting stronger, healthier communities through rebuilding lives affected by addiction.

Easternwell General Manager, Kyle Koziol said: “We are grateful to our guests from Sunrise Way who shared their personal experiences with mental health, how they overcame their addiction and ways we can look after our mental health.”

“Today’s discussion was about giving us tools to strengthen our personal resilience as well as leading to our goal of making sure that our people return home from work in better shape than when they left for work.”

The event was supported by funding from the Darling Downs and West Moreton PHN under the Australian Government’s PHN Program.

Employees have access to several initiatives within the company to support their mental health, including free access to the company’s Employee Assistance Program, a Flexibility Policy that enables employees to create more work-life-balance, and a health and wellbeing program that provides employees with educational resources, access to support services, face-to-face consultations and a variety of other initiatives aimed at improving our employees’ physical activity, nutrition, financial support and mental health.

Easternwell is a subsidiary of Broadspectrum, providing innovative solutions across the social, defence, property, infrastructure, resources and industrial sectors.
