On-shore Oil and Gas Well Servicing Specialists - EWS Operations
EWS OPERATIONS CONTROL
Eastern Well Services and Eastern Pressure Control operations are co-ordinated at the Toowoomba facility in South East Queensland. Though oil and gas well servicing operations are Australian wide, most rigs are presently contracted to the Cooper Basin in South Australia. Future operations are planned for other fields and will come into effect on release of the new EWS Australian design "Advantage Series" rigs.
This facility handles all repairs, maintenance and fabrications, rig re-building, new constructions and business administration. Additional offices and yards are established in Roma and Moomba, with the Moomba yard providing maintenance service for all trucks and aditional stores.
EWS TOOWOOMBA WORKSHOP
The main workshop is located at the Toowoomba facility. Engineers, technicians and skilled tradespeople use innovative methods and modern manufacturing tools and equipment to design and fabricate workover rigs. These programs are leading the way in areas of technology and are fast becoming nationally and internationally recognized for their benefits and contribution to the industry.
Current projects also involve adapting existing rigs and equipment to improve their versatility, reliability and efficiency. Purpose equipped rigs that are specifically re-designed and adapted to suit Australian conditions are proving to be in heavy demand and will eventually be seen as a necessity within the servicing industry.
Rig maintenance, repairs and rebuilds are carried out at this facility with a dedicated commitment to providing the safest and most efficient well servicing equipment available today. Operations at the workshop run year round and in some cases 24 hour a day.
EWS MOOMBA YARD COMPLEX
A second workshop exists in South Australia centrally located within the Cooper Basin. Operations at the Moomba Yard involve the general repair and maintenance of trucks, trailers and other heavy machinery. Working a 12 hour day, the yard is manned by 14 skilled mechanics, welders, drivers and electricians. Other operations include a major Rig stores facility supplying rig parts, filters, fuel and other products that need to be readily available and easily accessed.
